Nothing here is dated and nothing goes out of date, so it is not a blog. These are the arguments we would make in a meeting, written down so you can read them without one.
On-premise or cloud
Whether the system should run on a server in your building or in somebody else's data centre. Covers what each does well, what each costs you beyond the invoice, and the two questions that usually settle it: what you still need to be able to do when the connection fails, and who can reach the machine holding your guest data.

Two customers have written up their own decisions, which are worth more than anything we can say about ourselves. Code Hotel on Koh Samui left one of the three largest property management systems. Maekok River Village left a system they liked.
Komune in Bali is our account rather than theirs. They opened with thirty rooms and a small beach club, and more than fifteen years later they run over a hundred rooms on the system they started with.
